Saria prices in Pakistan, especially in Lahore’s Iron Market, have seen a significant rise recently. Within just one month, Saria prices have gone up by 5 to 8 thousand rupees. Local Saria is now selling at 2 lakh 38 thousand rupees, up by 8 thousand rupees, while branded Sariya prices have increased to 2 lakh 55 thousand and 2 lakh 60 thousand rupees, with a 5 thousand rupee rise.
This increase is expected to affect the construction industry by raising production costs. Adding to the economic challenges, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has increased sales tax on CNJ supplies.
On another note, the Lahore High Court is looking into recent hikes in petroleum product prices, showing a focus on economic policies impacting consumers and businesses.
With these price hikes causing concern, stakeholders are closely watching for potential impacts on different sectors and the overall economy. Keep an eye out for more updates on this ongoing situation.
