Asna Tabassum, a 21-year-old Muslim student from Southern California, has gained attention for her academic prowess and recent controversy at the University of Southern California (USC).
Raised by Indian immigrant parents, she excelled academically and pursued Biomedical Engineering at USC.
However, objections arose when she was selected as the valedictorian for USC’s Class of 2024, with accusations of promoting antisemitic and anti-Zionist views on social media.
Despite her disappointment at not being allowed to deliver the commencement speech, Asna remains committed to advocating for human rights.
