- New Zealand’s practice session was cancelled.
- 1st T20I was abandoned due to rain.
- Weather is expected to be clear for the 3rd T20I on Sunday.
The New Zealand team’s practice session scheduled for Friday was called off due to poor weather conditions in Rawalpindi.
The visiting team was expected to train today in preparation for the second T20I against Pakistan on Saturday.
The series opener on Thursday was abandoned due to continuous rainfall in Rawalpindi.
However, The Weather Channel reports that the likelihood of rain has decreased ahead of the second T20I between the two teams on Saturday.
The probability of rain on April 20 is significantly lower at 24 percent, compared to yesterday’s 49 percent for the same day.
In the meantime, it appears likely that spectators will be able to enjoy a full match on Sunday, when the third T20I is scheduled, as the weather forecast predicts clear skies with only a 12 percent chance of rain.
Following the initial three matches at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, both teams will relocate to Lahore, where they will compete in the final two T20Is of the series on April 25 and 27, respectively.
