Gold prices in Pakistan dropped by Rs1,700 per tola on Thursday after registering gains in three previous sessions to hit all-time high level.
The price of gold dropped to Rs250,200 per tola compared to the previous day’s rate of Rs251,900 per tola, marking a decrease of Rs1,700. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs1,458 to Rs214,506.
In the international market, the price of gold per ounce also experienced a decline, dropping by $17 to close at $2,395.
The surge in gold rates on April 17 saw another all-time high in Pakistan amidst unrest in the Middle East. Data from the Sarafa Association revealed an increase of Rs2,200 per tola for 24-carat gold, bringing it to Rs251,900 per tola, and an increase of Rs1,887 per 10 grams to Rs215,964. Additionally, the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold surged to Rs197,967.
