Nadra, Pakistan’s authority for national identity cards, has sped up the process for urgent card issuance. Now, it takes only 15 days instead of 23, and there’s no extra charge. This change is a big help for people who need their ID cards quickly.
They shared this news on social media, explaining how this will benefit everyone. Nadra’s goal is to make sure people get their ID cards fast when they need them most.
The National Identity Card (NIC) is super important for Pakistani citizens. It has a special 13-digit number and is needed for lots of things like getting licenses, opening bank accounts, and getting passports or mobile connections. Anyone 18 or older can apply for an NIC through Nadra.
Starting April 2024, the fee for an urgent smart ID card application is Rs1,500. This makes the faster service easier for everyone to use.
