Pakistanis intending to visit New Zealand for tourism or short-term study purposes must obtain a visitor visa beforehand, as entry into the Oceania country is not permitted without it.

The visitor visa allows a stay of up to six months on a multiple-entry visa or nine months on a single-entry visa. However, employment is not permitted, although short-term study for up to three months is allowed.

Identity Proof

When applying for a New Zealand visitor visa, applicants must furnish all necessary documents to support their application. These include proof of identity, such as one acceptable photo for online applications or two photos for paper applications, along with a passport or certificate of identity.

Additionally, a medical certificate demonstrating good health and a police character certificate are required. Proof of return ticket and accommodation, such as hotel bookings, is also mandatory.

Minimum Bank Statement for New Zealand Visit Visa

Financial documentation is crucial for the visa application process. Applicants must show they have enough funds to sustain themselves while in New Zealand.

The minimum financial requirement is NZD $1,000 per month, or NZD $400 per month if accommodation expenses are already covered. This can be proved through bank statements, credit card statements, or accommodation pre-payment receipts.

Authorities may also inquire about the source of funds. For instance, for a three-month stay without prepaid accommodation, a minimum of NZD $3,000 must be available in the applicant’s bank account, which translates to approximately PKR 502,890 based on the current exchange rate of NZD $1 = PKR 167.63.

Applicants are also obligated to declare their willingness to cover any medical expenses incurred during their stay in New Zealand.

Regarding visa processing times, the New Zealand immigration website states that 80 percent of visa applications are processed within four weeks.

This timeline provides applicants with an idea of when to expect a decision on their visa application, allowing for better planning of travel arrangements.
