The National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) remains the official entity responsible for issuing Family Registration Certificates (FRC) in Pakistan, with the fee consistently set at Rs1,000 as of April 2024.
Categories for FRC Application
There are three primary categories under which citizens can apply for an FRC:
- By Birth: This category offers a detailed record of the applicant’s family, encompassing information about parents and siblings.
- By Marriage: Applicants choosing this category will have their family details, such as spouse and children, incorporated in the certificate.
- By Adoption: For individuals under guardianship, this category records information about the guardian and the family.
Important Note
For inclusion in the FRC, individuals must be registered with NADRA and have a 13-digit ID number. Without this, their data will not be included in the certificate.
Application Process
Applicants can apply for an FRC either by visiting a NADRA Registration Center (NRC) or via the Pak-Identity website. For Pakistanis residing abroad, the relevant mission offices overseas assist in the issuance of the Family Registration Certificate (FRC).
Fee Update
Despite the passage of time, the fee for acquiring an FRC in both normal and executive categories remains constant at Rs1,000, ensuring it is accessible and affordable for applicants.
This fee update highlights NADRA’s dedication to delivering essential documentation services while maintaining consistent fees for the convenience of the public.
