FIA arrests suspects involved in human trafficking, visa fraud

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) raided the medical lab in Iqbal Town of Lahore and arrested the suspects involved in human trafficking and visa fraud.

Director FIA Sarfaraz Khan Virk said that three suspects involved in human trafficking and visa fraud have been arrested and 130 passports and other documents have also been recovered from the possession of the accused.

According to Director FIA, the accused used to extort huge amounts of money from citizens in the name of employment abroad and also took passports from citizens under the guise of medical treatment.

FIA officials said that among the arrested accused are Farooq, Umar Farooq and Shahid Ali.

The further investigation of the accused is going on.

Earlier, Islamabad High Court (IHC)  ordered the release of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry on bail.

Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri heard the bail petition of Fawad Chaudhry, in which lawyer Qaiser Imam appeared in the court on behalf of the former minister.

Later, the court granted Fawad Chaudhry’s bail after the arguments of the lawyers were completed and ordered his release.
