KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab inaugurated Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) City Nursing Institute at Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases (KIHD).

Talking to the media on the occasion of the inauguration, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab said that this is not the first nursing institution in Karachi. He said Abbasi Shaheed Hospital also had a nursing school which is also non-operational for the past many years.

“It’s the public private partnership which can make all health and other institutions operational. Better health and treatment facility are basic rights of every Karachiite. We are giving our best to provide this right to every Karachiite.”

He said 130 children are given free education in Nursing Institute at KIHD. He announced that KMC will establish nursing schools in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Spencer Eye Hospital and Orangi Town.

He said that a year ago Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto founded the 1200-bed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases Hospital in Korangi, but some mafia went to the court and took a stay order due to which the hospital was closed.

Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab said that the conditions of this city are being worsened by spreading negative propaganda.
