The eagerly anticipated Apple Watch 10 is expected to introduce a feature that will enable users to track their blood pressure in addition to heart rate, sleep patterns, blood oxygen levels, movements, temperature, and more.

Mark Gurman, a reporter for Bloomberg, stated in a newsletter: “All signs point to the new Apple Watch gaining a blood-pressure checker this fall. But it doesn’t appear that the capability will be coming to current models.”

Gurman’s comments suggest that the blood pressure monitoring is likely to be a hardware feature, and users of older Apple Watch models will not be able to access this new feature via a software update.

This feature in the Apple Watch can help users lessen their dependence on traditional blood pressure readings.

However, it’s worth noting that Apple isn’t the first tech company to incorporate this feature into their Watch Series. Samsung already supports ECG (Electro Cardiography) and blood pressure monitoring features for the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Watch 6 series.
