The Lahore High Court (LHC) has declared relaxed hours for restaurants in Punjab’s capital, Lahore, during the holy month of Ramadan 2024.
Justice Shahid Karim of the Lahore High Court has permitted restaurants to remain open from Iftar until Sehri, extending their operating hours beyond the previous closing time of 10 pm.
The high court has issued a written order concerning anti-smog petitions, instructing schools to allocate one day per week for practical classes and requesting a report on syllabus changes.
According to the government lawyer’s report, electricity connections have been severed for factories engaged in burning tyres.

The high court has additionally prohibited LESCO officials from cutting trees in the city, mandating that they must notify the PHC before any tree removal.
