The 8th Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar Haq Kakar, has vacated the Prime Minister House.
The sources said that Kakar shifted from the Prime Minister’s House to the Minister’s Enclave.
The National Assembly (NA) will elect the Leader of the House, i.e., the Prime Minister of Pakistan, on Sunday, Shahbaz Sharif from the government coalition and Umar Ayub from the opposition will be the candidates for the prime minister.
In this regard, the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected Prime Minister will be held on March 4, and President Dr. Arif Alvi will administer the oath to the newly elected Prime Minister.
Earlier, the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) and Sunni Ittehad Council(SIC) announced the presidential nominee against Asif Ali Zardari.
The Sunni Ittehad Council has nominated Mehmood Khan Achakzai, the head of the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, as the presidential candidate.
Sources say that in this regard, PTI founder Imran Khan has issued a message from Adiala Jail to the leaders of Sunni Ittehad Council to support Mehmood Khan Achakzai.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the schedule for the presidential election on March 9, for which nomination papers can be submitted on March 2 before 12 noon.
According to the election schedule, the nomination papers will be checked by the Returning Officer on March 4 at 10 am, the nomination papers can be withdrawn on March 5 at 12 noon.
