ISLAMABAD: The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad acquitted Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founder, Faisal Javed , Asad Umar and others of charges in a case of protest and vandalism during Long-March vandalism case.
Islamabad Judicial Magistrate Shabbir Bhatti accepted the plea of acquittal of founder PTI and others and the court acquitted Imran Khan, Faisal Javed, Asad Umar, Raja Khurram Nawaz, Ali Nawaz Awan in the Long March vandalism case.
The court said that according to lawyers, Imran Khan and other accused did not know about the implementation of Section 144, the Additional District Magistrate had not issued the notification of Section 144, a case was registered against founder PTI and others for political revenge.
The court remarked that the notification of section 144 by the government did not appear, the SHO of Tarnol Police Station Islamabad is the plaintiff, the police officer has no authority to register the case, 11 witnesses were included in the challan and not a single statement was recorded by the court.

Earlier, An Accountability Court in Rawalpindi indicted Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founder and Bushra Bibi in the £190 million reference.
Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana heard the £190 million reference. case in Adiala Jail in which Bushra Bibi was shifted from Banigala to Adiala Jail.
