Jessica Jessmon, a 34-year-old mother and paralegal student from Middleton, Wisconsin, tragically shot her two children, Makyla Lacey-Robinson (8 years old) and Major Lacey-Robinson (5 years old), wounded their father, Sedale Lacey-Robinson, and then took her own life.

Despite surviving gunshot wounds, Sedale now mourns the loss of their children. Jessica had faced challenges with addiction and legal issues in the past, but she was trying to turn her life around.

On February 18, 2024, in Middleton, Jessica reportedly fired shots at her children and partner inside her apartment. Despite efforts by officers to communicate with her, she barricaded herself with the children. The tragic outcome was discovered when they were found unresponsive on the floor.

Jessica had formed a close bond with Sedale, her neighbor-turned-partner. However, the community was shocked by her decision to take her own children’s lives.

Born in Wisconsin in 1989, Jessica struggled with addiction and mental health issues during her teenage years. Despite her efforts to make positive changes, her troubled past and ongoing custody disputes with Sedale, who had his legal troubles, added complexity to her life.
