The Sindh Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department have initiated a road-checking campaign aimed at arresting vehicle owners who have defaulted on taxes.

This campaign is scheduled to run until March 7th. Aurangzeb Panhwer, the Director General of Excise and Taxation Sindh, has disclosed that eight teams have been assembled for this purpose in Karachi.

These teams will conduct inspections at 37 different locations across Karachi, including industrial areas, major intersections, and various neighborhoods.

Meanwhile, the Punjab government has recently introduced the “Excise Apki Dehlez Per” (Excise at your doorstep) app to streamline services for the public.

As per the Director General of Excise Punjab, this app will facilitate vehicle registration and property transfer services directly to citizens at their residences.

An excise official will personally visit the owner for vehicle registration, and the original file and smart card will be delivered to their doorstep.
