For more than two years, the auto industry in Pakistan has been facing serious challenges, and now, the authorities have imposed an additional 25 percent Sales Tax on locally manufactured and assembled vehicles.
As the interim government takes measures to boost funds, they have decided to apply a 25 percent sales tax specifically to locally made cars. This tax targets four-wheelers priced at Rs4000000 or more or those with engines over 1400 cc.
With this new tax in effect, buyers – who are already dealing with high car prices – are curious and concerned about the expected price increase.
The impact of the new policy will be felt across cars from major brands, including Suzuki, Toyota, and Honda. Pakistan Observer has gathered data to estimate the new expected prices for top models, providing valuable information for buyers.
