According to a report by The Elec, Apple is thinking about upgrading the iPhone SE 4 to have OLED displays by 2025. Currently, the iPhone SE is the only model in Apple’s lineup that still uses LCD technology.
OLED screens would make the iPhone SE 4 more like Apple’s pricier phones, giving better colors and darker blacks.
Keeping the iPhone SE 4 affordable is a big focus for Apple. Companies like Samsung and BOE are competing to supply the OLED screens.
Samsung might get most of the orders with a quote of $30 per unit, the lowest among others.
Tienma offered the highest price at $40. Even though OLED panels might cost more to make, Apple wants to keep prices down through competition between suppliers.

These prices are much lower than the screens used in the iPhone 15. So, Apple can still make a good profit from each iPhone SE 4 sold.
Apple is looking for even lower prices, around the mid-20s, from its production partner. We don’t know the exact release date yet, but rumors say the iPhone SE 4 might come out around 2025.
