The interim government has secured jobs for 600 young Pakistanis overseas through recent negotiations and signed agreements with international partners.

This achievement stems from a string of productive visits by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and European nations.

After conducting over 10,000 interviews, 600 candidates were chosen for various international job roles. Individuals from various regions of Pakistan departed from major airports in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar.

They have left for Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia to pursue employment opportunities. Jawad Sohrab Malik, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, highlighted that this initiative marks the start of a broader endeavor to generate thousands of additional job openings.

He emphasized that this goal will be realized through the execution of 46 more contracts. Malik underscored the significant demand for skilled workers across different sectors such as construction, healthcare, engineering, information technology, hospitality, and finance.

The success of this endeavor is attributed to the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis. Officials from both ministries have been consistently engaging with foreign employers since last year.

Pakistan’s active involvement in international conferences, exhibitions, and joint meetings has resulted in the attainment of agreements expected to reach 100 by the week’s end.
