The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts varying intensities of rainfall coupled with snowfall over mountains in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday evening/night and Tuesday.

The synoptic situation indicates the influence of a westerly wave over the upper parts of Pakistan, which is anticipated to persist for the next 24 hours.

Most districts can expect mainly cold and dry weather, while the upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may experience partly cloudy conditions on Monday evening or night, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

However, isolated places in Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Balakot, and Manshera are likely to witness rain, wind, and thunderstorms with snowfall over mountains on Monday evening or night.

Tuesday brings the possibility of rain with snowfall over mountains at isolated places in Chitral, Swat, and Kohistan. Peshawar is expected to have minimum temperatures ranging between 04 and 06 degrees Celsius on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

Recent observations indicate rainfall with snowfall over mountains in various locations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours. Kalam recorded the coldest temperature in the province, dropping to 12 degrees Celsius below freezing.
