The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted rainfall for Karachi, Hyderabad, and parts of Sindh over the upcoming weekend. This is due to a westerly wave affecting Balochistan and upper Sindh, expected to move towards the northern regions of Pakistan.
Anticipated areas for rain, wind, and thunderstorms include Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Tharparkar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Jacobabad, and Kashmore on Friday evening/night, Saturday, and Sunday. Other parts of the province may experience partly cloudy weather.
In terms of temperature, Karachi is expected to have minimum temperatures ranging between 18-19 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday. Hyderabad’s minimum temperatures are forecasted to be between 16-18 C on Saturday and 17-19 C on Sunday.
The recent weather in Sindh has been cold and dry, with shallow to moderate fog in upper Sindh. In Karachi, the minimum temperature was 19 C, with a morning relative humidity of 65 per cent. In Hyderabad, the minimum temperature was 17 C, with a morning relative humidity of 72 per cent.
