Cement prices in Pakistan stable for the last week

The retail price of cement in Pakistan remained steady over the past week, according to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. In the northern regions, the average retail price per sack of cement was Rs 1,227 in the week ending January 25, showing a marginal decrease of 0.41 percent compared to the previous week’s recorded price of Rs 1,232.

Similarly, in the southern regions of the country, the average retail price per sack stood at Rs 1,150, maintaining the same level as the previous week.

Notable variations were observed in different cities, with Islamabad recording Rs 1,190, Rawalpindi at Rs 1,192, Gujranwala at Rs 1,260, Lahore at Rs 1,280, and Karachi at Rs 1,172.

Other cities, including Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, Multan, Bahawalpur, Peshawar, Bannu, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Quetta, and Khuzdar, reported average retail prices ranging from Rs 1,160 to Rs 1,250 per sack.

Despite slight fluctuations in various regions, the overall stability of cement prices reflects a balanced market in the country.

Consumers and stakeholders continue to monitor these prices, which play a crucial role in construction and infrastructure development.
