In the previous year, the interim provincial government declared free travel for senior citizens and students using the Orange Line Metro Train, Metro Bus Service, and Speedo Bus Service. However, shortly before the winter vacations, the provincial government opted to terminate this service.
In the beginning of this month, the interim Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, instructed officials to reinstate the complimentary travel service on major public transport projects.
