Ferdinand, speaking on his YouTube channel, expressed his enthusiasm for the prospect of Benzema joining the struggling Manchester United side. Drawing parallels with past high-profile signings like Cristiano Ronaldo, Falcao, Cavani, and Ibrahimovic, Ferdinand highlighted the appeal of bringing in a player of Benzema’s caliber.

“That’s just going back to old, what we’ve been doing before. We’ve done it with Cristiano [Ronaldo], we’ve done it with Falcao, we’ve done it with [Edinson] Cavani, we’ve done it with Zlatan [Ibrahimovic]. Listen, Benzema… how can you say no? How can you say no to that signing?” Ferdinand stated.

The former United defender emphasized the positive impact Benzema’s arrival could have on the team’s attacking dynamics. He particularly highlighted the potential mentorship role Benzema could play for young striker Rasmus Hojlund, who has faced challenges adapting to life at Manchester United.

“One thing I would say, one person who needs that more than anyone else around right now is Rasmus Hojlund. He needs that somebody to look at and learn from,” Ferdinand added.
