President departs to Pakistan after five-day China’s visit

HARBIN: President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday departed for Pakistan after completing a 5-day official visit to China.

During the visit, the president met with his Chinese counterpart, President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang.

The president also attended the opening ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games in the Chinese city of Harbin.

During the visit, memorandums of understanding were signed between Pakistan and China for bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Security forces killed three terrorist in Mastung, Pak Army major, sepoy martyred

RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed an Afghan national involved in terrorism inside Pakistan during an operation in the general area of Datta Khel of North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the individual was later identified as Luqman Khan alias Nusrat (Afghan National), son of Kamal Khan, resident of Spera District, Khost Province, Afghanistan.

Interim Afghan government authorities are being approached to take over the body of the individual, being an Afghan citizen.

Such incidents are irrefutable evidence of the involvement of Afghan Nationals in terrorist activities in Pakistan.

The interim Afghan Government is expected to fulfil its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for perpetrating acts of terrorism against Pakistan.

Balochistan Govt imposes Section 144 for 15 days

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has imposed section 144 across the province for 15 days due to the law and order situation.

The Home Department of Balochistan has imposed section 144 in the province for the next 15 days, which has been issued formal notification.

In this regard, according to the Balochistan government, the display and use of weapons will be banned on this occasion.

According to the notification , the aforementioned order will be implemented immediately, the rallies, processions and gatherings of more than 5 people have been banned for 15 days.

It should be noted that section 144 has been done at a time when the Pakistan Tehreek -e –Insaf(PTI)  has called for a nationwide protest across the country on February 8.

Earlier, Punjab government has also imposed section 144 across the province ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest.
