Pilibhit man break 3.8 crore road with bare fist to expose corruption

Pilibhit man

An under-construction road in the Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh collapsed on camera after a guy chose to “uproot” it with his bare hands to reveal departmental corruption.

The 7-kilometre-long road, developed under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), is supposed to connect Puranpur with the district’s Bhagwantapur village.

A now-viral video from the event shows a Bhagwantapur resident using his hands to peel through a fragile coating of bitumen. In the video, the man can also be heard pleading with authorities to take action against the contractor who was awarded the contract to build the road using public funds for Rs 3 crore 80 lakh.

According to Shailendra Choudhary, an assistant engineer with the Rural Engineering Department, the issue was brought to the notice of administrative officials, who visited the location and had the poor-quality road fixed.

According to the media report, the newly constructed road was destroyed last week when a vehicle used its brakes.

The building agency has now been given orders for laying road after their apparent incompetence was exposed by locals, who plan to protest the usage of substandard materials involved.

Not a first

According to media reports, villagers in Pilibhit had already questioned the quality of two distinct roads built by the PWD. A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA earlier scolded a contractor for compromising the durability of his project.

Several other state political groups, including the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress members, blasted the BJP for endemic corruption, which it claimed had been eradicated before retaining power for a second consecutive term.

“Instead of focussing the on the quality of roads, road-construction under the Yogi government is carried out keeping the quality of the contractor’s pockets in mind. Case in point, the condition of the road built at a cost of about 4 crores in Bhagwantpur under the Prime Minister’s Road Scheme in Pilibhit [which goes to show] the extent to which corruption has expanded its roots under Adityanath government.”

Optical Illusion: 2% of individuals can spot all the women

Optical Illusion

What is a day without a difficult or awe-inspiring optical illusion? Dull.

We’ve become so accustomed to seeing visual puzzles on a daily basis that a day without them feels strange and empty.

But just when you believe you’ve seen and solved all baffling optical illusions, another one appears to pique your interest.

Many people have been perplexed by a depiction by Ukrainian artist Oleg Shupliak since few can identify the entire number of women in the artwork.

According to statistics, only 2% of people have been able to break the illusion so far.

Some people saw four women in the drawing, but most couldn’t see past two.

How many do you notice?

The image depicts a female with thick and wavy hair wearing a flowing outfit. She appears to be on the phone and is smiling.

If you look at her right arm (the one she’s holding her phone with), you’ll notice a nose, lips, and eyelashes.

A proper facial shape can be seen on the arm if you look closely.

That brings the total to two. But where are the other two?

The third lady is tough to locate. You should probably zoom in on the main lady’s right hand.

The woman’s right hand has a little face near her cheek. That makes three.

The fourth one has significant detail. Take a look at the pair of lips immediately over the main lady’s tummy. The entire image is of a woman.

Gurugram Couple Weds Dog with Dhols, Pheras, and Baraatis

Gurugram Couple

A small neighbourhood in Haryana’s Gurugram celebrated the most anticipated wedding in their community. It was a dog couple’s wedding. Yes, you read that correctly. A couple from Jile Singh Colony in Palam Vihar Extension decided to perform a full traditional Indian wedding ceremony for their dog, replete with haldi, pheras, and baraatis dancing to the beats of dhol.

The couple’s pet dog, Sweety (female dog), was married off to a neighbouring canine, Sheru (male dog), in accordance with all Indian wedding rites. A video of the wedding ceremony has also gone viral on the internet. On Sunday night, Sheru and Sweety took their ‘Pheras.’ People danced enthusiastically throughout the canine wedding ceremony, which was accompanied by ‘dhols.’

WATCH VIRAL VIDEO OF THE DOG WEDDING:

The pet owners had also sent out 100 invitation cards to their neighbours who had come to the wedding as ‘Baraatis.’

Savita alias Rani, Sweety’s guardian, told the source, “I m a pet lover and as a couple, we used to take care of pets. I don’t have a child so Sweety is our kid. My husband used to go to the temple and feed animals and one day a stray dog followed him and came to us 3 years back. We named her Sweety. Everyone used to say that we should get Sweety married. We discussed it and then eventually a programme was made in just 4 days. We decided to follow all rituals .”

Meanwhile, Sheru’s owner, Manita, stated, “We have been together with Sheru for the last eight years. We have always treated him like our child. we discussed with our neighbours about the marriage of our dogs casually but then we suddenly got serious about it .”

Manita stated that the dog owners are taking this marriage seriously and have prepared for it in the same way that traditional marriages are and have followed all of the ceremonies. “We invited around 100 people. We printed 25 cards and the rest was an online invitation,” Manita stated.

When asked how other people reacted to the invitation, Manita said, “Some people like it and some people don’t. We are not concerned at all. We just followed what we desired.”

Savita mentioned, “People used to say that police will pick us and put us in Jail but we are not bothered. Since we are a childless couple and this is our only happiness so today my husband is happy as we are getting Sweety married.”

Raja, Savita’s tea seller husband, felt emotional at the ceremony and recounted the entire scenario, “I used to visit the temple and since we don’t have a child then we used to take care of the pets. Sweety has been part of our lives for the last three years and she is like my daughter. For preparation, we have bought the utensils and sarees which we do for usual wedding preparation. I will feel bad as a father because for three years I have nurtured her as a guardian.”
