The trailer for Peacock’s forthcoming original film Meet Cute was recently released. This traditional New York love story will have a time-travel twist, but that is far from the most intriguing aspect of it. The most intriguing aspect of the film has to be its gorgeous ensemble, which includes Kim Kardashian’s ex Pete Davison and Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco. Meet Cute, directed by Alex Lehmann, is planned to air on Peacock on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

The upcoming film is based on the story of Sheila (Cuoco) and Gary (Davidson). When the couple first meets, it’s love at first sight. On their first date, though, love isn’t the only amazing factor. PM extends sincere wishes to Britain’s King Charles III on accession to throne

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday conveyed his sincere good wishes to King Charles III on his accession to the throne of the British monarchy.

“On behalf of the people and government of Pakistan, I wish to convey our sincere good wishes to His Majesty King Charles III on his accession to the throne,” he posted on his Twitter handle.

The prime minister said, “May the people of the United Kingdom continue to prosper under his benevolent reign.”

The council, made up of about 200 members — primarily current and former politicians and other dignitaries — proclaimed his accession to the throne in the State Apartments of St. James’s Palace in London.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will travel to London and would most likely attend Queen Elizabeth’s burial.
According to sources, the prime minister will embark on a foreign tour, with his first stop in Samarkand for the two-day Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting on September 15 and 16.

Pakistani-American entrepreneurs urged to invest in flood-hit Pakistan’s education sector

WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Masood Khan, has called on Pakistani-American entrepreneurs to focus on investing in flood-ravaged Pakistan’s education sector during the rehabilitation phase after waters recede.

“The flood situation in Pakistan would be a big setback for our students who already suffered during COVID pandemic days”, he said while briefing the entrepreneurs about the havoc wrought by floods triggered by climate change that was threatening nations across the world.

The United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF, estimates the monsoon rains and ensuing flooding have damaged or destroyed at least 18,000 schools across the country, depriving millions of children of access to education. It says hospitals and other infrastructure on which children rely for essential services have been put out of commission.

UNICEF also said the children affected are among the most vulnerable in the country, adding they live in many of the 72 hardest-hit districts.

“The recent flood and the massive devastation in Pakistan is a consequence of climate change. This phenomenon is going to grow whether it is Pakistan or any other country in South Asia or the world”, Ambassador said.

Ambassador Masood Khan thanked Ms. Ambreen Mirza, President of the Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs (OPEN) Global, for organizing the event, calling her a “dynamic leader”.

He shared details of the devastation caused by the floods that has submerged one-third of the country, killing 1400 people, with more than 13,000 injured.

Ms. Fiza Shah, CEO of Developments in Literacy (DIL), briefed the participants about the work being done by her organization to improve education in Pakistan.

She said that DIL was working in Pakistan since 1997 and has impacted about 300,000 students and trained about 20,000 teachers. DIL was also working on curriculum development in Pakistan and was working with the public and private sectors in this regard.

Following the Venice Film Festival drama surrounding his Don’t Worry Darling cast, Harry Styles appeared on the red carpet at the Toronto Film Festival 2022 alongside his My Policeman co-stars, Emma Corrin and David Dawson. At the festival’s Tribute Awards, the singer also won his first acting honour.

The cast of My Policeman received the ensemble award at TIFF’s Tribute Awards on Sunday night and Styles was present to receive the same. Delivering a speech after receiving the honour, the singer said, “Thank you so much to everyone here, on behalf of all of us, for this wonderful, wonderful award. We all loved working on this film so much. And we hope you enjoy it.” Styles who has been in the middle of his Love On tour has been performing as well as making appearances for his upcoming film.

The musician was recently embroiled in a scandal over his second project, directed by his girlfriend Olivia Wilde. In a video that went viral on social media, Harry was accused of spitting on Chris Pine before the film’s screening at the Venice premiere of Don’t Worry Darling. While Pine’s representatives quickly denied the rumours, Harry later laughed about it during his New York show.

The singer, who has been dating Wilde since last year, did not walk the red carpet with her at the Venice Film Festival. Olivia also discussed the couple’s desire to keep their relationship quiet in an interview.

QUETTA: More than 9000 epidemic disease cases were reported in the last 24 hours in Balochistan, BOL News reports on Monday.

According to the details, 2498 cases of Dihrrea, 2127 cases of Skin infection, 2143 typhoid cases, and 470 cases of Malaria were found due to stagnant water from rains and floods in the districts.

As per the details, the such widespread disease is occurring because of no roof at the top(as the flood affectees are homeless and without proper shelter), and severe hunger as there is no food supply for the population.

With the help of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and the provincial government of Balochistan, 1354 medical camps were established. In the medical camps, 328,116 flood affectees were treated or recovered from the illness due to floods and rains. Moreover, 1200 cases of asthma and chest infection were also reported.

Sixteen people who weather bitten by poisonous snakes were also given treatment by the doctors in the medical camps. Whereas, 1127 people were also treated who were having skin infections.

The recent flood in Balochistan has claimed three more lives taking the death toll to 270, reported BOL News on Saturday.

As per the report by Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), three more people have succumbed to the floods and millions have been waiting under the bare skies for relief and rehabilitation.

The total number of livestock killed by the flood has reached 133,149, while the number of houses affected by the flood is 64,385.
