When Princess Charlotte paid tribute to her late grandmother on Mother’s Day last year, she provided a rare insight into the Duke of Cambridge’s memories of his late mother, Princess Diana.
Last Mother’s Day, all three of William’s children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, sent heartfelt cards to their ‘granny,’ but it was Charlotte’s message that touched royal fans’ hearts.

In her hand-painted card that featured a heart and butterfly stickers, Charlotte wrote: “Dear Granny Diana, I am thinking of you on Mother’s Day. I love you very much, papa is missing you. Lots of love Charlotte.”

Diana, William’s mother, died tragically in Paris in August 1997 after her car crashed following a high-speed chase with paparazzi.
Her children, Prince William and Harry, were just 15 and 12 years old at the time.
