Trump warns India of consequences over Russian oil purchases

Trump warns India of consequences over Russian oil purchases

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump, while speaking to the media at the White House, warned that India would have to pay a price for purchasing cheap oil from Russia.

He expressed views on important international and domestic matters. Trump revealed that a recent attack on a U.S. military base left two individuals seriously injured and in critical condition.

Issuing a warning to India, Trump said that buying cheap oil from Russia will come at a cost. He mentioned that a 50% tariff was imposed on India just eight hours ago, and if the Russian oil purchases do not stop, more sanctions will be enforced.

Talking about the U.S. economy, Trump stated that the approval of the “Big Beautiful Bill” has significantly improved the economy. According to him, American tech companies are investing hundreds of billions of dollars in the country. Inflation is going down, wages are rising, and the U.S. stock market has reached an all-time high.

Trump added that just a year ago, the U.S. was being labeled as bankrupt, but now the situation has completely changed. He said that companies like Apple are returning to America and that Apple alone is making an additional $100 billion investment.

He announced that a 100% tariff will be imposed on microchips and semiconductors, but if these products are manufactured in the U.S., no charges will apply.

Discussing his foreign policy, he said he has ended five major wars, including those involving Iran and Israel. He described his recent conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin as “good,” although he said it wasn’t a major breakthrough. However, a meeting with Russian officials is expected soon.

Trump blamed former President Joe Biden for the ongoing war in Ukraine, saying lives are still being lost due to this conflict.
