Germany chancellor Olaf Scholz is under increasing pressure, as we have been hearing, to approve the sale of Leopard tanks built in Germany.

Additionally, the German government itself is divided on the subject.

Alexander Muller, a German MP from the liberal FDP party, which is a part of the country’s coalition government, told the Media early this morning that he was convinced Berlin will approve the shipment of tanks to Kyiv.

“I hope so,” he told Media. “Greens and Liberals are a long time in favor of sending main battle tanks.”

“Our Social Democrats have a lot of pacifistic people within them and they have a great historical Russian-friendliness within them, but they see the pictures of the war and a lot of them change their minds.”

“He [Scholz] always said we [Germany] want… to act in common with our partners, and he cannot be the single guy that blocks everything.”
