“Lot of missiles” in air prompted air raid alarms across Ukraine

Warnings of air raids have been issued across the entirety of Ukraine.

“There are a lot of missiles. From the south and from the east,” Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv region military administration, said on Telegram. “The air defense is working.”

Local leaders in towns and villages on the eastern front line of the Donetsk area have cited “massive shelling” as the cause of the conflict’s escalation in recent days. This violence has been escalating in the southern and eastern regions of Ukraine.

In Zaporizhzhia, further to the south, Russian shelling on a maternity hospital resulted in the death of a newborn baby on Wednesday. The strike was devastating.
