On the Tamron Hall Show, an Idaho man set a new Guinness World Record by putting 180 thumbtacks into a corkboard in one minute.

David Rush, who has broken over 200 Guinness World Records to promote STEM education, was invited to go on the Tamron Hall Show in New York to discuss his goal of breaking 52 records in 52 weeks in 2021 and attempting to reclaim the title.

Rush set the record for the most thumbtacks placed into a corkboard in the summer of 2021 when he inserted 133 in the allotted one minute, but he later lost the title to someone who inserted 140.

Rush admitted that breaking a record on TV made him ” a little bit nervous,” but he “finished strong” owing to “a blazing fast start.”
