A woman expressed her surprise as her beloved pet cat reappeared five years after it had gone missing.

After a year of searching for her cat Kiki without success and eventually moving house, Elizabeth Antev was almost resigned to never seeing her again.

But she just received the most joyful surprise when she received an unexpected phone call informing her that the lost puss had been found and was ready to come home.

Elizabeth, from Ontario, Canada, reported Kiki had been missing for five years from her family’s home in Edmonton, Alberta.

She was not upset when Kiki didn’t return home one day, so she started looking for her pet using flyers, signs, and word of mouth.

But her efforts were ultimately vain, and after months of searching, the family relocated to Ontario a year later, but Elizabeth had not given up hope.
