Pakistan set to witness brightest Supermoon tonight

Tonight, residents across Pakistan can enjoy the captivating sight of a Supermoon, which will light up the night sky with remarkable brilliance.

During this celestial event, the Moon will appear around 14 percent brighter and 7 percent larger than usual. Astronomers explain that a Supermoon occurs when the Moon reaches its closest point to Earth, resulting in a more prominent and luminous display.

Today, the Moon will be approximately 226,000 miles from Earth, noticeably closer than its average distance of 238,855 miles. This proximity enhances its size and brightness, creating a striking visual spectacle.

As the sun sets, the Supermoon will rise, offering an awe-inspiring view across Pakistan’s skies. This marks the third full moon of the year, bringing a unique opportunity for skywatchers and astronomy enthusiasts to witness the event.
