“PDM has matters under control through mutual consultations, unity”: Maulana Fazl

Maulana Fazl

The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has on Sunday said that the PDM leaders have decided to vote for PPP’s Yousaf Raza Gilani for the Senate chairman election and JUIF’s Abdul Ghafoor Haideri for the deputy chairman slot.

Addressing a press conference alongside PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz, Maulana Fazl said, “The apparent reasons cited by NAB have exposed the bureau for the puppet institution it is.”

“It has approached the court for cancellation of [Maryam’s] bail on the basis that she speaks against institutions.”

He further added, “So the institution has been formed not to combat corruption but to serve other institutions.”

Fazlur Rehman said, “When she [Maryam Nawaz] appears before NAB on Friday, all of the PDM’s workers and leaders will be right there with her.

He went on to say that the workers will number “not thousands, but hundreds of thousands”.

NAB Is Mistaken If It Believes It Will Scare Me, Maryam Nawaz

The future of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the fake government depends on its performance, said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz here on Sunday.

While addressing the youth convention in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz said that PM Imran has to answer for his party’s incompetency, not the PDM.

The PDM will not allow the incumbent PTI government to leave so easily, added the Vice President.

She further said, “[Nawaz Sharif] was removed in 2017 on false allegations.”

“Even today, when they have to strike against Nawaz Sharif, they have to arrest his brother and summon his daughter before NAB in a political case,” Maryam added.

The PML-N vice president added, “When the government tired of all other allegations” NAB has accused her of “speaking against institutions.”

PDM is united enough to tackle the government and will surely demand a proper response from them, added Maryam Nawaz.
