Chinese Delegation Was Not At Serena Hotel During Blast: MOFA

The Foreign Office (FO) has on Thursday said that Oakistan is looking forward to work with the New US Administration to further strengthen the bilateral ties to make it mutually beneficial.

At his weekly briefing in Islamabad, FO spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry said that Pakistan wants to continue its partnership with the US to achieve stability and prosperity in the region.

The spokesperson said Pak-US bilateral relationship has been a factor for regional peace and stability. We have achieved a lot by working together in the past.

He stressed the continued engagement and coordination is even more compelling today in the context of shared geo political and security challenges.

The spokesperson said both the countries have worked closely to achieve the shared objective of peace in Afghanistan.

He said Pakistan appreciates the progress made by the Afghan peace process, emphasizing the need to further build on it.

Moreover, he said the BJP government cannot mislead the world by such fabrications or hide its deep hatred for minorities in India.

The spokesperson urged the Indian government to ensure safety, security and protection of minorities, particularly Muslims and their places of worship, and fulfill its responsibilities under the international laws.

Pakistan has no involvement in Pulwama attack, says FO Spokesperson

Pulwama attack FO

On Saturday, Pakistan categorically rejected Narendra Modi’s, Indian Prime Minister, a statement of Pakistan’s involvement in the Pulwama attack by implying remarks made by a minister in the National Assembly.

Zahid Hafeez, Foreign Office Spokesperson said in a statement that India has miserably failed to provide any proofs against Pakistan’s alleged involvement in the Pulwama attack.

“This is a brazen attempt to twist the remarks of the federal minister, who was referring to the befitting response given by the Pakistan Armed Forces in broad day-light to India’s ill-conceived misadventure of 26 February 2019, in violation of the UN Charter and international law”

“It is the BJP leadership’s incurable obsession with Pakistan that impels them to invariably blame Pakistan for their own failings and shortcomings. Most notably, it has been a part and parcel of the BJP’s electoral strategy to raise Pakistan ‘bogey’ in the attempt to galvanize voters’ support, while seeking to divert public attention from their domestic and foreign policy failures,” the statement added.

The FO spokesperson advised Modi and the BJP regime to stop involving Pakistan in India’s politics, especially at the elections’ times.

The FO spokesperson concluded by saying,

“Instead of mobilizing the electorate through stoking of anti-Pakistan sentiments, the BJP leadership would be well-advised to win voter support by demonstrating actual performance in meeting the expectations of the Indian people.”
