FIFA has officially announced that ticket sales for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will begin later this month, with an initial release of one million tickets available to fans around the world.

The tournament, set to take place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will feature matches in multiple cities, culminating in the final on July 19, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Ticket prices will range significantly based on match category and stage. The lowest-priced tickets will start at $60 for Category 4 seats during the group stage, while Category 1 tickets for the final will be priced as high as $6,730.

FIFA Chief Operating Officer for the 2026 World Cup, Heimo Schirgi, stated that the governing body will adopt a dynamic pricing model a system in which ticket prices may fluctuate based on real-time demand. This pricing strategy was previously trialed during the Club World Cup hosted in the U.S. earlier this year.

The initial presale window will run from September 10 to September 19, during which fans can apply for tickets. Applicants who are successful in the ballot will be able to purchase their tickets between October 1 and October 21.

The 2026 World Cup will be the first edition to feature 48 teams, expanding from the traditional 32, and promises to be the largest and most inclusive tournament in FIFA history.
