The final decision on the ICC Champions Trophy is anticipated today, with the tournament schedule nearing completion. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has stated its readiness to sign the agreement after thoroughly reviewing the required documents.

Sources confirm that Pakistan and India have resolved most key issues, bringing the terms for the Champions Trophy to the final stages. However, one major disagreement remains.

Indian media reports suggest that Pakistan’s conditions have largely been accepted, except for one.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) insists that the final of the 2026 T20 World Cup be held in India, even if Pakistan qualifies. Pakistan, on the other hand, remains firm in its decision not to play in India under any circumstances.

The ICC and its members are working to address this issue to finalize the arrangements. Once resolved, the complete schedule for the Champions Trophy will be officially announced.

In a significant agreement, Pakistan and India will not host matches in each other’s countries until 2027. To accommodate this, the ICC has approved a hybrid model for the 2025 Champions Trophy. The tournament will take place in Pakistan and Dubai, providing a neutral venue for select matches.

As preparations near completion, cricket fans eagerly await the official announcement, marking a major step forward for the tournament.
