Australia vs Pakistan: Key Australian players to skip T20I series

Australia’s all-format players might skip the T20I series against Pakistan in November 2024 to prepare for the high-profile Test series against India at home, according to ESPNCricinfo.

Australia will host Pakistan for six white-ball matches, including three ODIs and three T20Is, between 4 and 18 November.

The tour begins with a three-match ODI series on 4 November, followed by three T20Is from 14 to 18 November.

Due to the close scheduling of the Pakistan T20Is and the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, several multi-format players might be left out of Australia’s squad, as the Test series starts on 22 November.

The multi-format players are expected to receive the best preparation facilities for the five-Test series, with the Sheffield Shield starting on 8 October.

Even if they miss the first round, they will have three First-Class matches to prepare for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

As a result, players like Travis Head, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Marsh, and Josh Hazlewood, who play all formats for Australia, are likely to miss the T20I series against Pakistan.
