According to the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) schedule, three Twenty20 Internationals will be played against Pakistan.

The two neighboring nations will play each other in a three-match T20I series on March 25, 27, and 29 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, the ACB announced via Twitter.

In response to ACB’s request, PCB offered them three T20Is instead of ODIs in order to support them after Australia cancelled their series against them citing violations of women’s rights in their country.

During one of his press conferences, PCB’s current chief Najam Sethi stated that they were not interested in accepting ACB’s invitation to play three ODIs, but three T20Is could be an option subject to Pakistani government approval.

“I met with ACB officials, and we discussed the possibility of three One-Day Internationals. ODIs, in my opinion, would benefit neither of the two countries. We came to the conclusion that subject to the government’s approval, Pakistan and Afghanistan will play three T20I matches in Sharjah, just after the conclusion of PSL 8 and before the arrival of New Zealand “He revealed.

The series’ profit will be split equally between PCB and ACB.
