Chelsea regained their winning momentum after the terrible defeat by Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League after they thrashed Southampton in the Premier League encounter by 6-0.

Mason Mount and Timo Werner were stars of the match after scoring two goals each.

Chelsea put on a spectacle to remember, putting Southampton under constant pressure from the start with their aggressive pressing tactics.

Marcos scored the Blues’ first goal in the eighth minute with a powerful effort, and Mount extended the lead in the 16th minute.

Chelsea’s front line seemed unstoppable as Timo scored in the 21st minute, and Kai Havetz scored 10 minutes later as the Blues marched off the field with a four-goal lead in the first 45 minutes.

They didn’t show any signs of slowing down in the second half, with Timo scoring his second goal in the 49th minute and Mount scoring his second in the 54th.

Chelsea’s defence was excellent, as they did not allow Southampton to score a goal in their 6-0 victory.
