Seven people tested positive for Covid-19 in Premier League

The English Premier League has announced today that seven people tested positive for the covid-19.

There are almost 2,957 players and club staff members from two rounds, the tests have been conducted between January 25 to 31.

United Kingdom (UK) is under a third national lockdown as it fights new strains of the virus and has recorded more than 106,000 deaths the worst toll in Europe.

The English Premier League introduced strict protocols last month to tackle the threat of pandemics forcing the suspension of the competition.

The last top thrilling matches postponed because of the virus was between Aston Villa and Everton on January 17.

In the League, Cheltenham’s next two League Two matches against Barrow and Carlisle have been postponed after positive coronavirus test results.
