Australia after an excellent display beats England in first Ashes test series.

According to the details, Australia won their first ever Ashes test after 14 years on English soil.

Australia won the test with whooping 251 runs margin after England were bowled out for just 146 runs in second innings.

Australia’s Nathan Lyon took 6-49 to be a top performer, meanwhile Pat Cummins picked up 4-32 to thrash England in first Ashes test.

Australia in the first innings made 284 and 487-7 declared in the second innings.

England in the first innings scored 374 runs and finally were bowled out of 146 on the fifth day of the match.

As England needed 398 runs to win the test which was never in the offing keeping in mind the remaining overs in the match.

English batsmen needed to bat the whole day to draw the match but after a brilliant bowling display by Australian bowlers, England at one point were six wickets down at just 37 runs to finally lose at 146.

England have nine days to recover before both teams meet again at Lords for their second test match of the Ashes series.
