In Beijing, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held an important meeting with Pakistan’s Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir to discuss bilateral relations, regional security, and various aspects of strategic cooperation.

According to China’s Foreign Ministry, Wang Yi described the Pakistani military as a pillar of national stability and a strong guardian of Pakistan–China friendship and cooperation. He noted that the Pakistani military has always played a key role in implementing major decisions agreed upon by the leadership of both countries.

Wang emphasized that, despite global uncertainty, the strengthening of Pakistan–China relations benefits not only the two nations but also peace and stability across the entire region. He reaffirmed that Pakistan has always been a top priority in China’s neighborhood diplomacy and that their ties have only grown stronger through difficult times.

The Chinese foreign minister pledged continued support for safeguarding Pakistan’s territorial integrity and national security, while welcoming Pakistan’s increasing role in international affairs.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, calling China an “iron brother” of Pakistan, said both nations have always stood by each other in times of need. He stressed that the Pakistan–China strategic partnership is as solid as a rock and that strengthening this friendship is a unanimous stance of the Pakistani nation.

The Field Marshal expressed gratitude to China’s leadership for its valuable support in Pakistan’s economic and social development. He assured that the Pakistani military is fully committed to enhancing counterterrorism and security cooperation and will ensure the complete safety of Chinese personnel, projects, and institutions in Pakistan.

Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to further strengthen Pakistan–China friendship and continue advancing their journey of mutual development.
