Light rain expected in Karachi within 24 hours: Met Office

KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted light rainfall in Karachi over the next 24 hours.
According to the forecast, the city is likely to experience cloudy weather during this period, with chances of light showers.

The Met Office further stated that today’s maximum temperature in Karachi is expected to range between 33°C to 35°C, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 29°C.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has also predicted rain in several areas of Balochistan.

According to the PMD, Barkhan, Sibi, Kohlu, Musakhel, Qila Saifullah, Loralai, Khuzdar, Dera Bugti, Nasirabad, and surrounding areas are likely to experience rain today. Additionally, isolated rainfall is possible in Zhob, Kalat, Awaran, and Lasbela.

“Residents in these regions should stay updated with the latest forecasts, especially those in Balochistan where scattered rains are expected,” advised a PMD official. “While Karachi might see only light showers, the shift in weather patterns is worth noting.”

This forecast indicates varied weather conditions across the southern parts of Pakistan, with some areas bracing for significant rainfall while Karachi experiences milder changes.
