Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has confirmed that Pakistan and India have both agreed to an immediate ceasefire. This decision comes after a series of tense events brought the two nuclear-armed countries dangerously close to a major conflict.

The situation further escalated between Pakistan and India last night when India carried out airstrikes on three Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bases: Nur Khan, Murid, and Shorkot. In response, Pakistan launched a retaliatory military operation named ‘Bunyan-un-Marsoos’ against the ongoing Indian aggression.

As part of its response, Pakistan used its Al-Fatah missile system to strike several Indian military targets and airbases that were involved in the attacks. According to reports, India’s Akhnoor Aviation Base, Bathinda Airfield, and Sirsa Airfield were destroyed in the operation.

Prime Minister Sharif said he will soon address the nation to share all the details about the ceasefire agreement. “I will share all the details in my address to the nation,” PM Shehbaz said.

When asked about the terms agreed upon with India, the prime minister responded, “There will be meetings in the future where all such matters will be addressed to avoid complications.”
