The internet disruption in the Asian country was reported due to a global submarine cable failure, affecting internet services in certain regions.

During the Eid ul Adha holidays, people experienced difficulties in browsing the internet. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) reported a malfunction in the SMW4 international submarine cable, one of the seven cables connecting Pakistan to the global internet.
