MQM Pakistan Chief Urges Transparent Elections in upcoming polls

MQM Pakistan chief Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that we are not seeing fair and transparent elections.

While holding a press conference along with Mustafa Kamal, Aminul Haque, Rauf Siddiqui and other leaders at Pakistan House in Karachi, he said that the world knows how the results of the 2018 general elections were compiled.

Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that Karachi has lost its real representation, those people represented the city who did not belong to this city, and this city needs elections as soon as possible.

The MQM chief said that we want early but transparent, impartial and acceptable elections, the caretaker government in Sindh is a continuation of the 15-year government.

He further added that we want to tell the state that we need elections the most, elections should not only be fair and transparent, but should also be visible.

The MQM leader further said that this city will not accept such elections in any way, we will come to the streets and declare our mandate, caretaker prime minister, it is your job to conduct transparent elections, commission member NIsar Durrani has been an official of people’s Party; in the presence of Ejaz Anwar Chauhan and Nisar Durrani will not the accept the elections.

He also said that the local governments of Hyderabad and Karachi do not represent the cities, pre-poll rigging has happened, if it is not fixed, then the people should tell themselves what to do.
