IHC dismisses contempt petition against Nawaz Sharif in anti-judiciary speech case

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday dismissed the contempt petition against Nawaz Sharif in the anti-judiciary speech case.

IHC Chief Justice Amir Farooq dismissed the petition against Nawaz Sharif for non-compliance.

In todays hearing, no one appeared before the court on behalf of the petitioner.

The application filed against Nawaz Sharif by citizen Adnan Iqbal was pending in the Islamabad High Court since 2018.

In the petition, contempt of court action was requested against Nawaz Sharif for his anti-judiciary statements in 2018.
