Afghan govt not issuing visas to Pakistani journalists: Bugti
ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Minister for Interior Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti on Wednesday said that the Afghan government was not ready to issue visas to Pakistani journalists to visit its soil.
Contrarily at the same time, it was demanding from Pakistan not to send back illegally Afghan nationals residing in the country, he wrote in a post in Urdu language on the social media platform X.
Meanwhile, repatriation of illegal foreign nationals including Afghans to their homeland is continuing.
Two Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety illegal Afghan nationals returned to their country yesterday. So far, Two Hundred Forty-three Thousand, and One Hundred and Sixty-five Afghans have been repatriated to Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has introduced a One Document Regime on the international border with Afghanistan.
According to Director Zonal Immigration Balochistan, ten counters have been established for implementation of One Document Regime and to facilitate the people. He said the step will make border crossings legal and ensure transparency in movement.
