MQM-P delegation calls on PM Shehbaz Sharif
ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM-P) on Wednesday met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Shraif where they expressed reservations about the attitude of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
The MQM delegation comprised MNA Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Mustafa Kamal, Rauf Siddiqui, Fauzia Hameed, and Sadiq Iftikhar.
During meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif , the economic situation of the country and the rapidly increasing inflation were discussed.
Sources said that Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui expressed reservations regarding the attitude of the Pakistan People’s Party and the non-implementation of the agreement by the federal government.
Apart from this, the progress so far regarding the correctness of constituencies in Sindh was also discussed.
The MQM Liaison Committee has expressed concern over the delay in the agreement and the non-acceptance of demands.
In this regard, the sources have said that MQM Pakistan has decided to announce the action plan if the notification of additional Union Councils (UCs) is not issued and they said that few administrative posts cannot be a substitute for the demands of MQM.
According to the sources, the MQM is considering leaving the positions for acceptance of their genuine demands.
The final decision will be announced during March 12 public gathering.
